Its broken into two different types, one is the Andes and the other is the Lowlands. The Andes uses spanish as a second language. They pronounce the letter "s" clearly and use lleismo which is pronouncing the letter "y" the same as "ll". Lowland spanish, which has many different dialects, get many of its influences from the American Indian, or Amerindian, cultures. Along with that it many key characteristics come from colonial spanish. Some words that they use differently then regular spanish are hoy estoy yesca, meaning today I am broke. Another example is pajla mean bald and lagartear meaning to laze around.

Other Spoken LanGuages
In Bolivia there are over 30 different languages and dialects that are spoken officially. Quechua is the most common of native languages currently spoken, with a little more then 25% of the population speaking it. This is followed by Aymara, and Avá guaraní. Some of the bolivians also speak german. 2.76% of the population know only a foreign language. Over 75% of the population know how to speak spanish with three fifths of them only speaking spanish.
